Harry Styles and Ezra Koenig watch football in the stadium

The two watched the Premiere League game Luton Town FC against Manchester United.

Vampire Weekend’s Harry Styles and Ezra Koenig spent their Sunday afternoon (February 18) at the football stadium. Not to sing in front of their fans, but to watch the game between Luton Town FC and Manchester United. The two singers were apparently there at the invitation of Rob Stringer, chairman of Luton Town and CEO of Sony Music. Styles and Koenig are both signed to Columbia Records, which is owned by Sonic Music Entertainment. It was the “Watermelon Sugar” singer’s first public appearance in a while.

Harry Styles has rarely appeared in public lately. The visit to the stadium was the first time he had been seen since his 30th birthday on February 1st. Fans were excited to see photos of the singer on social media. “I just woke up helloooooo we’re back,” one wrote in all caps, sharing some of the artist’s photos from the event. The former member of One Direction wore a knitted sweater over a shirt – a pretty chic outfit for a visit to the stadium, according to his followers on Instagram. “Is that the diplomat’s son,” someone wrote in a comment under a photo of the singer.

What was the game like that the two musicians watched in the stadium? Manchester United initially led 2-0 before Luton Town FC’s Carlton Morris scored the next goal. Despite a fighting performance, Luton failed to turn the game around and Manchester United ultimately won 2-1.
