Contract would have expired

Hansa Rostock and central defender Thomas Meißner are now going their separate ways. The second division team announced on Friday that the 32-year-old’s contract, which originally expired at the end of the season, has been terminated.
Meißner came to Rostock from the Hungarian first division club Puskás AFC in 2021 and played a total of 34 games. In October 2022 he was temporarily suspended by then coach Jens Härtel, but was then reinstated. This season he only played in the reserves in the Northeast Regional League.
