For a player from SG Flensburg-Handewitt, today’s game against ThSV Eisenach will be special. Marko Grgic played for the Wartburgstadt team from 2022 until the summer. ThSV Eisenach is in 13th place in the handball Bundesliga with six points. The Wartburgstadt team started the season with a 31:27 win against SC DHfK Leipzig. Afterwards there were three defeats in a row against Magdeburg (28:34), Melsungen (27:29) and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen (28:31). The Thuringians then narrowly won against Wetzlar with 29:28 and then clearly lost to the German champions with 23:25. Head coach Sebastian Hinze’s team then won 32:29 against Gummersbach. Most recently there was a 30:32 defeat against Hannover. In addition to the league, the Eisenachers also made it to the round of 16 in the DHB Cup. There the ThSV prevailed against Minden with 28:25.
