Handball coach Markus Gaugisch has nominated the next squad of the German national women’s team.
For the start of the European Championship qualification with games against Northern Macedonia and Belgium, which is also considered a further measure of the global championship (November 26th to December 14th) combined with the course in Gummersbach, he nominated exactly those players who were also there recently. For this purpose, the 19-member German contingent will move to the Marie Steffen (VfL Oldenburg).
Qualification for the European Championship
“The goal is clear: We want to go the first steps towards EHF with four points. We focus completely on ourselves and our way towards home World Cup”said Gaugisch. The course with the qualifying games on October 16 in Gummersbach against Northern Macedonia (7.30 p.m./DF1) and on October 19 in Hasselt Belgian (1.45 p.m.) “Our last together before the immediate World Cup preparation. I expect from all players to burn and throw everything in the week.”
After that, the hot phase begins for the DHB women in the direction of home World Cup. Germany starts the immediate World Cup preparation on November 17th in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Part of the final finance for the home World Cup are two duels with Switzerland (November 20 in St. Gallen, World Cup general rehearsal on November 22nd in Göppingen). The first tournament game will then increase against Iceland in Stuttgart on November 26th.
