SC Magdeburg started the new season of the handball king class with a 37:31- (21:17) victory. The victory against the French top club Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening (September 10, 2025) in front of 6,182 spectators in the home arena ultimately failed.

This is how the mode works
In the group phase, 16 teams meet in two roller groups with back and forth. The two groups each move directly into the quarter-finals, places three to six of both groups play in play-offs, a back and forth, comparable to a round of 16, the other four quarter-finalists. The four winners of the quarter -finals go to the final tournament in Cologne, where the title will be awarded on June 13th and 14th, 2026.
