Status: 08.11.2022 21:19

Things haven’t been going well at THW Kiel lately. Now promoted ASV Hamm-Westfalen felt the pent-up frustration.

The last ailing record champions defeated the Hammer on Tuesday (November 8th, 2022) 37:24 (17:9) and thus stopped the negative series of the last three competitive games without a win.

Coach Filip Jicha’s team moved up to second place in the table. With 16:4 points, Kiel is again within striking distance of leader Füchse Berlin (17:3).

Wiencek best pitcher at THW

The people of Kiel, who after the most recent difficulties in the Champions League last Saturday surprisingly blundered against basement child TBV Lemgo Lippe, didn’t let anything go wrong this time.

The cup winner quickly pulled away with 5:0 goals and gradually increased the lead. THW captain Patrick Wiencek was the best thrower for the North Germans with seven goals. The new bottom light Hamm-Westphalia conceded the tenth bankruptcy in the eleventh league game.

A game of this 11th match day has already been brought forward. On October 2nd, TVB Stuttgart beat Bergischer HC 27:26.
