Momir Ilic, as a trainer at HSG Wetzlar, probably introduced itself differently: The Mittelhessen documents from SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the end.
New coach, next defeat: HSG Wetzlar lost its home game on Thursday evening. The Middle Hesse was subject to 28:34 (15:17) on the 29th matchday of the SG Flensburg-Handewitt handball league and thus gave their new coach Momir Ilic a gift.
The Serb took over the job from Frank Carstens last week. A change in the coaching position, which nevertheless had an effect, because Wetzlar presented themselves better than in the games before and was able to keep up over 50 minutes in front of 3,750 spectators in the home arena.
Sixth defeat in a row for the HSG
The best thrower on the HSG was again Dominik Mappes, who was able to contribute a total of nine goals. However, that should be little comfort for the back room player, because it was the sixth defeat in a row for his team. In the table Wetzlar is in 14th place. On Monday (8 p.m.) the HSG is waiting for the Hessen derby at MT Melsungen.
