Lewis’ extraordinary success in Spain has opened up previously unthinkable prospects for the British driver and Ferrari
After six consecutive successes for Mercedes, the first with Russel and the following five with the phenomenon Antonelli, came the sensational victory for Ferrari thanks to Lewis Hamilton, who has been without a win for two years. Ranking for the title completely reopened: let’s discover the odds of Hamilton winning the 2026 World Championship which will end in December in Abu Dhabi.
WORLD WINNING HAMILTON ODDS
—
After four podiums in seven Grands Prix, in which he always scored in the points, Lewis Hamilton returned to victory in the Catalan GP by dominating the race and overtaking Russel with great ease. Obviously, Kimi Antonelli’s retirement at the end due to an engine failure favored the Rossa driver, who had not won in 40 events (Spa 2024). Ferrari, on the other hand, had not crossed the finish line first in 34 races: great celebration, therefore, at Montmelò for a combination that now appears more successful than ever.
Therefore, the world dream of Ferrari and the British driver suddenly opened in Barcelona, reaching his 106th success, celebrated with the checkered flag waved by Nole Djokovic. Thanks to Lewis’ continuity of performance, today the ranking seems more attractive than in the past: 115 points for the Ferrari driver, “only” 41 less than Antonelli, who recorded his first zero of the season in Spain. Even the bookies of the main betting sites now believe in Hamilton’s world title, which has fallen to odds of 5.00 on Admiralbet, Starcasinò and Marathonbet and to 4.50 on Betflag.
ANTONELLI’S RACE
—
It no longer seems like teammate Russel but Ferrari driver Hamilton who is Antonelli’s main rival, who before Barcelona had dominated the 2026 World Championship with a second place and five consecutive victories that had propelled him to the top of the rankings. Where, obviously, he still finds himself with 156 points and a good safety margin: but it is the engine failure in Spain that set off the alarm at Mercedes, given that Russel had also had the same problem previously.
The drivers’ title is also played on the reliability of the cars: Leclerc’s Ferrari also stopped at Montmelò due to a steering problem, so much so that the Monegasque is in his second consecutive race without points (he has 75 in the standings).
Antonelli is still a clear favorite for the bookies, who have placed him at odds of 1.45 on Admiralbet and Starcasinò and at 1.40 on Betflag. It rises to 4.50, however, for Russel, third in the standings with 106 points.
