The racing Sunday in Silverstone begins with grubs. The main race in Formula 3 must be canceled. Tim Tramnitz misses the points again.

The Spanish young driver Mari Boya celebrated a victory in Formula 3 in Silverstone’s rain chaos. The Campos pilot was in the lead when the main race on Sunday had to be interrupted in the 14th out of 22 laps due to the onset of places with a red flag.

After a long break in the pit lane, the race management decided not to continue the race. Théophile Nael from France (van Amersfoort Racing) finished second, the Mexican Noel León (Prema) completed the podium as third.

The weather chaos started in the middle of the race. Bernd Mayländer led the field in the Safety Car over several rounds. Even at reduced speed, the pilots trouble keeping the racing away by the wayside.

The title fight in Formula 3 will continue in the Belgian Spa at the end of July. It is the eighth of ten stations in the calendar.
