Gzuz has something new in his repertoire.
Gzuz stands for gangstar rap, hard punchlines and the energy of the street – or does it not? Since 2025, fans of the German rapper have increasingly had the feeling that rap is by no means everything that the member of the 187 Street Gang can do. Now Gzuz has released his first pop rap song.

Collaboration with Tream
“Aprés Ski” is a collaboration with Tream, who describes himself as “Germany’s first pop rapper” and became known for his song “Liebe auf der Rücksitz”. The new track takes on the well-known “I doubt it” meme – one that Gzuz once counted as one of his favorites.
According to “Raptastisch”, Gzuz has been experimenting with new genres and sounds all year round: the solo single “Balla Balla” and his feature with Shoki are reminiscent of techno-rap and house. The anthem “King of GerMMAny” plays with rock elements, while the album SCHERBENHAUS and the single “Kreidebleich” have much more poppy tones.

The 187 Street Gang opens up to new genres
Other members of the 187 street gang are also diverse. Bonez MC turned to dancehall and reggae at times.
Most recently, Gzuz didn’t just have to do with music: in 2022 he was sentenced to eight months in prison for violations of the Narcotics, Explosives and Weapons Act. He began his sentence on January 13, 2023. The prison sentence was later suspended for three years and Gzuz was released on September 13, 2023. Most recently, according to “Vice” research, Gzuz, whose real name is Kristoffer Jonas Klauß, received a criminal order on November 16, 2018 after he was arrested as part of the Splash! Festival 2018 sexually harassed a 19-year-old woman. Gzuz have to pay a fine.
SCHERBENHAUS is the fifth album by the 37-year-old from Hamburg. According to record awards, he has sold over 8.6 million records to date, making him one of the most successful musicians in Germany.
