Silver becomes gold for Schäfer

At this point in time, all -around master Karina Schönmaier was brought first. Shortly afterwards, however, the result had to be corrected. The European champion was fatal to the mat, which gave her a point deduction. Gold became silver and silver became gold.

For the only 15-year-old Schäfer from TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf, it is by far the greatest success of her career. The day before, she had missed the podium in the all -around battle and shed tears. This time she scored 13.166 points of the coup before teammate Schönmaier (13,016). Bronze secured Mia Reimann (TSV Jetzendorf/12,833).

Meolie Jauch – first the end of the career, now the title

There was also a surprise on the uneven bars. Meolie Jauch had declared her resignation in mid -December last year and justified this with mental problems. In doing so, she had triggered the following allegations of abuse at the Kunst Turn Forum in Stuttgart. In the meantime, it starts for TS Neckargym Nürtingen and no longer for MTV Stuttgart – and the success is also back.

Already in qualification she had gymnastics the best values on the uneven bars. In the final she confirmed her performance and prevailed with 13.233 points ahead of Karina Schönmaier and Janoah Müller, both of whom came to 13,166 points. Schönmaier had the lower initial value in the exercise and thus secured silver.
