Ilkay Gündogan prevents the first defeat of the season, Leroy Sané only sits on the bench for a long time: The two former teammates at the German national football team have experienced completely different evenings in the Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Besiktas.
While the former DFB captain Gündogan (55th) scored the goal to 1: 1 (0: 1) final result, the former Munich Sané was only substituted in the 86th minute of coach Okan Buruk. Galatasaray has been outnumbered since the first half.
For Sané it has not been going well to Turkey since moving in summer. So far, the wing player has only scored one goal in nine competitive games for Galatasaray.
