Group of experts will test the reuse of the Ostend swimming pool site
The city workshop is a group of experts who develop a vision for the site. Over the next three to five years, they will try out all options before making a final decision. This method has also been applied to redevelopments in Ghent, Leuven and Brussels.
Before the project can start, they first have to demolish the swimming pool, but there is quite a bit of protest against that. The hearing of that appeal has also been postponed. But the city does promise that there will be no apartments in that place.
