Gordon does not like it that MediaCritici reports about the falling listening figures of Radio 10 since he makes a morning show with Froukje de Both. “Very bland. That’s just really bland.”
The listening figures of Radio 10 have fallen sharply since Gordon and Froukje de Both make a morning show there and that has been touched by various Mediacitics. Victor Vlam is not surprised, because according to him the program ‘is so limp as lemonade in which a whole tree has melted iceds’. Jordi Versteegden drew a comparison with RTL Tonight.
‘Very bland’
Although Gordon nowadays, as a TV reviewer himself, also provides fierce criticism on programs-he recently raged about RTL Tonight-he does not like the fact that MediaCritics now take a closer look at the listening figures for Radio 10.
The Weekend Asks him: “What do you think of the critics who already say that your listening figures are on the road down?”
Gordon on that: “Very bland! That’s just really bland.”
‘Don’t work like that’
Co-host Froukje agrees. “It doesn’t work that way with Radio either. You really have to build a program there. Until recently there were radio figures every three months, and that is justified.”
She continues: “With radio you really need a longer period. People have to think gradually: hey, something happens in the morning, we are going there! That is really different from a TV program, where there are snapshots.”
Get up early
When asked if Gordon will keep up early rising, he says: “Certainly, yes. Why not? We are of course at Christmas and at the beginning of January free, so that saves. We can work somewhere. And then it is just full again until the summer.”
What is the added value of their program? “It is a different sound anyway than what is in the morning. Mattie and Marieke still have their own thing, including the morning show of 538, Gerard Ekdom. We are the other sound. With the fun we hope to radiate from each other.”
Quality inspection
Gordon does not get a question about the tough sneer from Luuk Ikink. He recently shouted in RTL Boulevard: “So I listened to his program for four days and that is not good at all. It’s very old-fashioned. It is really zero’s radio.”
Goor’s criticism on RTL Tonight is therefore a bit blamed by the kettle, says Luuk. “If he also does the quality inspection for his own program, then he will not be there tomorrow anyway. I know for sure.”
