Anna works in the factory as a seasonal employee. She has two children and is helped by her mother Lucia Palma (Stefania Sandrelli), concierge. After a daring escape, they manage to escape the police and everything seems to be going right. The sudden availability of money, however, goes to the head and Anna, Maria and Francesca squander the loot. The only wise one is Caterina, who deposits everything in the bank.
