Globetrotter mother Fenix ​​Outdoor joins sales partner Arctic Fox

The trading group Fenix ​​Outdoor International AG has acquired a 30 percent stake in its sales partner Arctic Fox sro.

The company currently operates six stores for the Fjällräven brand, which belongs to the group, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as the label’s online business there, Fenix ​​Outdoor announced on Monday. The group also secured the option to further increase its stake in Artic Fox in the future. For the time being, owner Lukas Liska remains the majority owner of the company.

Arctic Fox, together with the local Fjällräven team, has done a “fantastic job” to build the brand in the two countries, it said in a statement. The investment that has now taken place is a “logical continuation” of Fenix ​​Outdoor’s strategy, which aims to strengthen the retail presence of the group brands in Europe.

In addition to Fjällräven, the group of companies based in Zug, Switzerland also includes the brands Tierra, Hanwag and Royal Robbins as well as retail chains specializing in outdoor products such as Globetrotter, Naturkompaniet, Friluftsland and Partioaitta.
