Richard Carapaz has won the eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia over 186 kilometers from Viareggio to Castelnovo ne ‘Monti.
The carrier of the pink jersey, the Mexican Isaac del Toro, drove to second place at the demanding stage with ten seconds. He defended the leading jersey.
The Ecuadorian Carapaz had settled out of a top group nine kilometers before the finish line and did not take the lead from behind despite attacks.
