The car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro was the protagonist of a road accident in Sardinia. On board a Land Rover Defender 110 he came out of the road, overturning several meters below always on the asphalt. The fact took place on the morning of July 25 along a winding road near Porto Cervo in the stretch of Abbodori. Giugiaro came out of the passenger compartment alone, unharmed but slightly dazed due to the explosion of the airbag. However, he was taken to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia for the ritual exams.
