GigaGfestival is a cheerful prelude to the Music Festival Pesse. With resounding names such as Jan Smit and local hero René Karst

Secretly it is perhaps the best evening of the annual Music Festival Pesse: the GigaGfestival, the music evening for young people with a disability. This Thursday evening, resounding names such as Jan Smit and local hero René Karst took the stage.

It is already the fourteenth time that the Activities for Young People with a Disability Foundation ‘hijacks’ one of the tents of the music festival for a party evening. With the help of many volunteers, everything is done to make visitors from the wide region feel comfortable. This ranges from assistance with parking to extra wheelchair spaces at the stage, where singer William Bossong of Mooi Wark announces a procession of artists as ringmaster.

It is a cheerful prelude to the actual festival, which kicks off on Friday with performances by Bizzy and Antoon, among others.
