The words “How Have You Been?” are emblazoned in black capital letters on a beige background. Giant Rooks’ simple social media post is followed by a short video compilation of the band’s rehearsals, recording sessions and shows. The caption only shows the date September 14th, 2023. Fans are speculating in the comments what the post could be about. A new album? A documentary? We don’t yet know what will appear next Thursday.
But first, Giant Rooks have announced their big tour for spring 2024. The indie rock band is touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 14 dates. International dates are to follow, according to the announcement by the band around frontman Fred Rabe. Advance sales start on September 19th at eleven o’clock via Eventim.
Giant Rooks was last seen as a special guest at the Kings of Leon concert at Berlin’s Waldbühne. The indie band also released two new singles “Bedroom Exile” and “Somebody Like You” in 2023. The German band made their debut in 2020 with their record ROOKERY.
