Gesink is waiting for a beautiful day in Vuelta leader’s jersey
For Robert Gesink, the second stage of the Vuelta a España will be a special experience. The Jumbo-Visma rider is allowed to take to the road in the leader’s jersey in a big round for the first time in his long career. This will take place in Den Bosch, where the riders will start on Saturday at 1.15 pm. It is the second of three Vuelta stages on Dutch soil.
It is a ride over 175 kilometers, in which direction Rhenen is set via Altena and Zaltbommel. Shortly after the peloton has passed there, the sprint for the first point for the mountains classification follows on the Amerongse Berg. The finish is expected around half past six at the Utrecht Science Park.
