Domenico Tedesco has been unbeaten with Fenerbahçe. The short series ended – with a clear defeat in Zagreb.

False start to the Europa League for Fenerbahçe Istanbul and his German trainer Domenico Tedesco. At the start of the league, the club from Turkey lost 1: 3 (1: 1) at Dinamo Zagreb-it was the first competitive defeat under the former Schalke coach Tedesco.

The 40-year-old, who had taken over Fenerbahçe on September 8 as the successor to the hapless José Mourinho, had previously started with two draws and a victory. In Zagreb, however, his team was vulnerable – especially on the defensive.

The hosts took the lead in the 21st minute by Dion Beljo. The former Augsburg hit again a little later (51st) and thus brought Dinamo back to the front after Sebastian Szymański (25th) had in the meantime compensated for Fener. In added time, Mounsef Bakrar (90.+5) made the decision with the third goal.
