The Metzingen fashion group Hugo Boss AG is recovering Georg Faisst. The experienced industry expert will take over the management of the Central & Eastern Hubs by Hugo Boss at the beginning of May, the company announced on Wednesday.

Faisst had started his career at Hugo Boss and worked in the company from 2004 to 2011. He then worked for the US clothing group PVH Corporation for almost 14 years and recently held the position of Senior Vice President & Managing Director for the North region. At PVH, Faisst has “extensive experience in the management of brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein or Nike Underwear in over 60 countries,” said his future employer.

He takes over his future role at Hugo Boss from Thorsten Link, who will switch to the newly created post of Senior Vice President Global Wholesale in the coming month and will report directly to Chief Sales Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Oliver Timm.

“The aim of the new Wholesale area is to create further synergies and to respond even more to the needs of global partners in the future,” said the company. Link is “with his extensive wholesale expertise, the ideal cast for this newly created global function,” said sales board member Oliver Timm in a statement and also welcomed his successor. “I am very pleased that we were able to win Georg Faisst for the management of our important roof region and our Eastern European business.”
