Galatasaray recently announced that the team left Alvaro Morata, social media account on the yellow-red team shared a farewell message.
Spanish player, Galatasaray fans and coach Okan Buruk thanked, reacted to the management.
Morata’s farewell message was included in the following statements:
“Dear Galatasaray fans and Turkish people,
I sincerely thank you for your love, warmth and support. From the first day you made myself feel at home and presented one of the most extraordinary support I have experienced in my career.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for my experience with the club. There were moments when the promises and respect for the basic values were not preserved.
Until the last moment, the commitments were not fulfilled; So much so that I had to waive some of my salary and other contractual rights (the number published is not correct). For me, there are some principles both in life and at work that should never be violated: respect for everyone’s rights is one of them. The fact that the acquisition is not recognized and not paid is unacceptable in my eyes and is contrary to the values of justice I believe in and the values of professionalism.
These issues are often not explicitly discussed; But I believe it is right to explain what is actually to the fans. You and the city of Istanbul will always be in my heart, I wish you the best in the future and in the future.
A special thanks to the coach and his great team. I’m sure you will continue to write the history of Galatasaray. I would like to thank all my teammates and all the laborers in Florya for the moments we share.
With love,
Álvaro ❤️ “
