Galatasaray had a record breaking interim transfer period! – Last minute Galatasaray news

Galatasaray Club had a good time in terms of player sales during the second transfer and registration period, which is called “intermediate transfer” in football.

The yellow-red team, which was champion in the Super League last season, represented Turkey in the UEFA Champions League this season. Finishing 3rd in its group, which also included Bayern Munich, Copenhagen and Manchester United, Galatasaray continues its way in the UEFA Europa League.

“Cimbom”, which continues to race for the top with Fenerbahçe in the league, earned a significant income in the interim transfer.

Galatasaray sold Sacha Boey, who was transferred from the French team Rennes for 1 million 150 thousand euros at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season, to Bayern Munich for a transfer fee of 30 million euros and a conditional bonus of 5 million euros. This transfer was recorded as a transfer fee record in Turkish football history.

The yellow-reds made a profit of 4 million 300 thousand euros in half a season from Democratic Congolese Cedric Bakambu, whom they bought from the United Arab Emirates’ Al-Nasr team for 700 thousand euros at the beginning of the season. Galatasaray sold the 32-year-old center forward, whom it played for half a season, to Spain’s Real Betis club for a transfer fee of 5 million euros and bonuses of 5 million 50 thousand euros.

While “Cimbom” will earn a net transfer income of 35 million euros in the interim transfer, it will also put a significant income into its coffers in case the bonuses are realized.

ANGELINO WENT TO ROME

Galatasaray parted ways with Spanish left-back Angelino, who was rented from Germany’s Leipzig team at the beginning of the season. The performance of the 27-year-old defender, who played in 19 official competitions with the yellow-red jersey in half a season and celebrated a goal once, was not found sufficient. Angelino, whose rental contract was terminated during the negotiations with Leipzig, was loaned to the Italian representative Roma.

Galatasaray terminated the contract of Christian Luyindama, who was not considered in the squad, and sent Halil Dervişoğlu to Atakaş Hatayspor and Kazımcan Karataş to MKE Ankaragücü on loan.

BERKAN KUTLU RETURNED TO THE TEAM

The yellow-reds brought back Berkan Kutlu, who was loaned to Italy’s Genoa team during the interim transfer. The 25-year-old midfielder, who was loaned to Genoa at the end of August with a temporary transfer fee of 250 thousand euros and an option right of 5 million euros, returned to the team during the interim transfer.

Berkan, one of the wild card players of coach Okan Buruk, served as midfielder, left back and centre-back after his return. Berkan Kutlu played in 6 matches in the Italian 1st Football League (Serie A) and 2 matches in the Italian Cup in Genoa.

THE PLACE OF THE DEPARTED THOSE WERE FILLED ECONOMICALLY

Galatasaray replaced the players who left the team without spending much money. The yellow-reds, who earned a considerable amount of income from Sacha Boey and Cedric Bakambu and saved a significant amount of money by not using both the annual fee and the compulsory purchase clause with the departure of Angelino, were tight-lipped in the moves they made to replace these players.

Galatasaray, which paid a rental fee of 600 thousand euros to Fulham for Brazilian center forward Carlos Vinicius, also gave a transfer fee of 100 thousand euros to Nottingham Forest for Serge Aurier.

The yellow-red club replaced Angelino with German left-back Derrick Köhn, of Ghanaian origin, from Germany’s Hannover 96 team. “Cimbom” will pay a transfer fee of 3 million 350 thousand euros for the 25-year-old player.
