Galatasaray has secured the services of Wolverhampton’s ex-captain Mario Lemina and paid a millions for the 31-year-old midfielder. The Süper-Lig Club confirmed that 2.5 million euros will flow to England for the Gaboner. Only four times in the club’s history had galatasaray paid more for a player who had reached the age of 31. In the ranking of the historically most expensive new additions to the Turkish league over 30 years, Lemina ends up in the top 50.

Lemina played on loan at Galatasaray in the 2019/20 season. In 2023, Wolverhampton had paid 11 million euros to a winter change to OGC Nice. As a regular, the player was initially able to increase his market value in England. Lemina developed the captain’s armband with the Wolves, but after an internal dispute, last lost his standing and has only been taken into account for a matchday squad once since mid -December.
