Futsal Amsterdam failed to prevent Tigers Roermond from winning a new national title on Friday evening. The indoor football players from the capital also lost the second final match against the title favorite from Limburg: 3-0. It is the third time in a row and also the third time in club history that Tigers Roermond has won the national title.
After last week’s 3-0 defeat, Amsterdam had to leave the field as winners tonight to force a decisive third game. In the first half, Amsterdam was able to make a pinprick here and there against Tigers. Ismail Bouhalhoul had a good opportunity to score the opening goal, but he saw his attempt turned away by Tigers goalkeeper Manuel Kuijk.
On the other hand, Amsterdam goalkeeper Dave Stet kept his team going several times. However, the closing post from Heerhugowaard had an unfortunate collision halfway through the first half and had to be replaced. Reserve goalkeeper Damian Gooyers then had an extremely unfortunate first raid. Gooyers was passed within seconds by Ayoub Boukhari, who made it 1-0 on behalf of Tigers.

Prune the aluminum hard
In the meantime, Stet had recovered and took his place again on behalf of Amsterdam. Amsterdam, which is coached by Achmed Baghouz, also found it difficult to create opportunities in the remainder of the first half. It did hit the crossbar one more time. Boulhalhoul hit the aluminum hard.
In the second half, Amsterdam looked more for attack and managed to create more opportunities. Roman Ramhani hit the post and Aiman Afouzar’s attempt was miraculously cleared off the line.
Seasoning
With seven minutes left on the clock, Boukhari put an end to the illusions Amsterdam still had. The Tigers trendsetter made the decision with his second goal of the evening.
In the final minutes, Adil Boukris hit the inside of the post again on behalf of Amsterdam, but the visitors did not get further than this. With five seconds left on the clock, Faisal Mellah shot the ball into the empty goal (3-0) and the championship celebration could begin in Roermond.
It is the third prize of the season for Tigers. It has previously won the national cup and the super cup.
