The long-time Bundesliga coach is currently being courted by a traditional club. Apparently unsuccessful, as a report now reports.
According to a report, Austria’s national soccer coach Ralf Rangnick has decided against moving to AC Milan after the World Cup. The 67-year-old German is said to have canceled the Serie A club, reports the Italian sports newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport”. Rangnick’s contract as Austrian national coach expires after the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
According to media reports, Rangnick was not intended for the role of coach in Milan. After a disappointing season with missing out on the Champions League places in Serie A, coach Massimiliano Allegri as well as the managing director, sports director and technical director of Milan had to leave.
Allegri’s successor in the coaching chair should therefore be Oliver Glasner. Last season, Glasner led Crystal Palace to the first European title in the club’s history by winning the Conference League and announced early on that he would be leaving the Premier League club after the end of the season.
