So far, Niko Kovač has not won a Bundesliga game as a BVB coach. But this statistics ended on Saturday evening.

Borussia Dortmund defeated Union Berlin in the Bundesliga top game with a spectacular performance. The BVB triumphed 6-0 in the home game, was determining the game right from the start. The game was player Serhou Guirassy, who scored four goals. The center forward met shortly before half -time (40th minute) and then achieved a triple pack (75th, 80th, 83rd) within eight minutes in the final phase.

The 1-0 achieved a Unioner: Danilho Doekhi faulted a shot Julian Rerson’s unsustainable and involuntarily put the hosts in the lead (25th). Maximilian Beier put the end of the end in the final minutes (89th).

Goosebumps in Signal Iduna Park existed before the kick -off. Both the travelers who traveled from the capital and the fans from BVB had come up with something. While the guest block in red and white rain ponchos gave a successful picture, the “yellow wall” showed a pyro show with Bengal fire and swivel flags.

The start, however, was not very promising. Often the passes came inaccurate, or the ball already promised when accepting. First of all, the hosts who competed without the injured offensive player Julian Brandt were concerned.

But when they realized that Union had little dangerous to offer, they became braver – and always tried their luck over the right side with Karim Adeyemi. However, the opponent helped hard during the lead goal. Julian Ryerson’s shot criminished.

A little later Pascal Groß (29th) hit the crossbar, cheered on by the fans who had had to wait for a win in the league for five home games, BVB urged the second goal – and rewarded himself before the break. Left -back Ramy Bensebaini conquered the ball with a tackle, then Guirassy headed a precise flank from Groß into the goal.

Guirassy could have met again shortly after the restart, this time his shot flew just over the goal (52nd). That was not significant because Dortmund continued to grip the opponent under control and hardly allowed a significant Berlin attack.

Unlike the end, Groß and Marcel Sabitzer had control in the central midfield, and Brandt’s replacement Gio Reyna and Beier, who represented the weak Jamie Gitten, worked hard. In general, BVB was noticeable that was painfully missing this season.

Dortmund defended resolute with the sovereign tour in the back and pushed for more goals. ADEYEMI (74.) met the post after an outstanding preparatory work by substitute Carney Chukwuemeka, and Guirassy did better seconds later.

At the latest now, Union in the constant rain in Dortmund came up with his fate. The BVB used the final phase to finally get self -confidence after hard weeks. The atmosphere in the stadium was as solved as it had been in weeks.
