From mid-May to the beginning of June, all decisions in the handball upper house are now made on the last six match days.
In the title race, the foxes Berlin and the MT Melsungen are tied at the top of the table, defending champion SC Magdeburg with two games played less only one loss point more on the account than the top duo. Hannover-Burgdorf is three points behind, Flensburg and Kiel in fifth and six have only outsider chances in the championship fight, but both should both hope to advance to the top 4 to secure one of the coveted international places.

Remaining program: Top game between Melsungen and Berlin, thick boards for Hanover
A possible preliminary decision on the championship could be on May 29th. Fall, because then the foxes receive Melsungen to the top game, otherwise the Berliners no longer meet the top six team, but still have two potential stumbling blocks in front of their chest with Gummersbach and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen. For Hanover, a defeat would probably mean the end in the championship fight, the remaining program of Christian Prokop’s team is the hardest of the top 4: Melsungen, Magdeburg, Flensburg, Kiel and Gummersbach are still on the program. That is why Flensburg and Kiel can also have good hopes for a finish in the top four.
