The Füchse Berlin remain without any loss points in the handball Bundesliga. On Saturday, the capital city team won comfortably against HC Erlangen in Nuremberg with 35:27 (18:12).

This means that the Foxes have taken the lead in the table, at least for a few hours. The MT Melsungen can still pass by in the evening. The best Berlin throwers were Mijajlo Marsenic and Mathias Gidsel with six goals each.

In contrast to the narrow cup success four days ago, the Foxes started very unfocused. After around seven minutes the guests were already 3:6 behind. But then they woke up and were significantly better, especially defensively. After a 7-0 run, the Berliners took the lead and never relinquished it.

If they had made better use of their chances in this phase, they could have pulled ahead even further, but they missed too many chances. But more and more Füchse keeper Dejan Milosavljev made the difference with his saves and the guests were able to pull ahead by seven goals before the break (18:11).

Four days earlier, the Berliners had made things exciting again in the second half, but this time they remained confident. After a good 47 minutes, the lead reached double digits for the first time (29:19). Even though some regular players were rested afterwards, the guests remained confident until the end.
