New signing from the Greek Super League 1: Arminia Bielefeld has signed center forward Roberts Uldrikis. The 26-year-old from Athens Kallithea is the third division club’s first signing this winter. Bielefeld did not say anything about a transfer fee or the length of the contract; Uldrikis only moved to the Greeks last summer.
“Roberts is an assertive striker with experience who can immediately help our team in the center of the attack. With his determined, robust style of play, his ability to finish and his understanding of the game, he fits exactly into our requirements profile, which we further defined after the first half of the season. We are glad that we were able to inspire him for the path we have shown and are sure that he will integrate into our team very quickly,” said sports director Michael Mutzel about the Latvian, who is the fourth center forward in the DSC squad.
Uldrikis, for whom Arminia is the sixth professional station in the fifth country, comes with the experience of 55 international matches, among other things. “In our intensive discussions and with their strong efforts, those responsible at Arminia Bielefeld convinced me of their idea and the plan based on it. They showed me exactly what role they intended for me and I can identify with that 100 percent. I am sure that I can contribute my qualities to the team and am looking forward to attacking in the 3rd league with a lot of commitment, work and passion and contributing to the team’s success.”
