From recycled marble track to wooden kitchen: Jet (1.5) gets sustainable toys

The Hilversum Jet of one and a half grows up with sustainable toys. Her parents Tale and Renate want less waste and the world to run longer, especially for their daughter. To prevent the birthday visitor from arriving with a mountain of plastic, they were asked to look for unused toys in their own home. For example, Jet received a wooden toy car from her cousins on her first birthday.

In addition, Tale started the website neverplayed.com, a trade in second-hand toys. He tells this in the NH program Pak An Groen, about sustainable entrepreneurs. To make it easy for the seller, he takes everything off his hands. He collects the toys with the cargo bike, photographs them and places them on the website. Tale saw a lot of toys in the garbage, because people often don’t feel like selling them themselves. A shame, because it was only played with for a short time.

The second-hand toy website can only be used by residents of Het Gooi for the time being, because Tale Meester wants to do everything sustainably on the cargo bike. In this case, the items do not have to be just wooden, because a remote-controlled car, which gets a second life, is also sustainable.
