Lukas Klostermann will need a “special program” in the immediate preparation of the German national soccer team for the World Cup. That’s what his club coach Marco Rose said before the RB Leipzig game in the Bundesliga at SV Werder Bremen.
The 26-year-old defender Klostermann tore his syndesmosis ligament after the first day of the Bundesliga match and was out for months. In Bremen he first had to sit on the substitutes’ bench for Leipzig.
Klostermann comes from rehab, explained Rose: “And the national coach knows that too. We were in close contact. It was clear to everyone involved that this would be a precision landing and that he would also carry the integration into the national team preparation phase. “
The German team meets Japan at the World Cup in Qatar on November 23, after which Spain is the opponent on November 27. On the final day of the group match, Germany will face Costa Rica (December 1).
