Telstar has strengthened itself with Alex Plat. The 25-year-old Volendammer comes over from NAC Breda where he had a tumultuous time. At first he was captain of the Brabant team, but under the new trainer Peter Hyballa he was relegated to the second team.
Subject to the medical examination, Plat signs a contract until the summer of 2024. The midfielder went through the youth academy of FC Volendam. From 2017 to 2022 he played in the main force of the Volendam team. Then he left for NAC Breda.
Plat played a total of 126 matches in professional football. “His statistics and status in professional football speak for themselves. With Plat, the selection gets body and maturity,” says technical manager Peter Hofstede.
Telstar is also still working on bringing defenders Robin Polley and Peter Guinari to Velsen-Zuid.
