From 10 January super green pass everywhere except for work: it is lockdown for no vax

The boom in infections caused by the Omicron variant has pushed the government to a new squeeze. With the decree approved on Wednesday 29 December, the super green pass – which is obtained with the vaccine or recovery – has been effectively extended to all activities, except for workers and university students who will still be able to use the swab. From 10 January to take a train or even a bus or metro, participate in fairs and conferences, but also eat outdoors, go to the hotel or ski, a tampon will no longer be enough but a vaccine or recovery will be needed. On the other hand, a decision on the “final weapon”, that is the obligation of the super pass for the world of work, public and private, was postponed to early January. In the course of the control room that preceded the CDM, a division within the majority emerged, with Pd and Forza Italia in favor of this solution and Lega and M5s against.

Means of transport, outdoor restaurants, hotels, fairs

From 10 January 2022 until the end of the state of emergency (at present the deadline is 31 March 2022), the use of the Green Pass Reinforced in the white and yellow zone is extended to all the remaining activities for which up to now the buffer was enough . Obligation of vaccination (or recovery) therefore also for hotels and accommodation facilities; feasts resulting from civil or religious ceremonies; festivals and fairs; congresses; outdoor catering services; swimming pools, team sports also outdoors (such as soccer); cultural, social and recreational centers for outdoor activities.

Museums, gyms, swimming pools and amusement parks

The further squeeze comes a few days after a similar one contained in the holiday decree approved in the Cdm on 24 December which extended the obligation of the super green pass also in the white and yellow area to various activities for which it was required until now only in the orange area: museums, indoor swimming pools and spas, gyms, spas and amusement parks, indoor cultural and recreational centers, game rooms, bingo halls and casinos.

Cinemas, theaters and stadiums

In short, the “strengthened” green certificate introduced at the end of November (with decree 172/2021) and initially envisaged only to enter indoor restaurants and bars, theaters, cinemas, concert halls, stadiums, parties and public ceremonies, and discos, is been extended to all recreational and social activities within a month.

Closed discos and reduced capacities in the stadiums
