The entire Swedish team celebrated the victory with devotion.
Frida Karlsson has recovered from a victorious but all-consuming Tour de Ski final crash. In the Swedish camp, the first place was celebrated with joy, with Karlsson acting as the master of ceremonies.
A video of the victory celebration has been published on the Swedish cross country team’s Instagram account. In the bus carrying the whole team, joy is at its highest. Sweet Caroline rings, sparklers light up and Karlsson opens a bottle of fizzy drink and takes a big gulp.

Karlsson, who skied to victory in the Tour, slipped badly in the wild final climb. He fell to the ground immediately after crossing the finish line. The medical staff treated him for a long time before he was sent away on a stretcher.
Karlsson lost consciousness in the situation and had to be given supplemental oxygen.
– I felt like a rat. I couldn’t feel my hands and feet. I wasn’t feeling well at all. I don’t remember much about it, Karlsson said later when he appeared in front of the media.
– I recovered by drinking blueberry soup. Feeling much better now.
Later, the blueberry soup changed to sparkling.
