Psychological abuse is the largest form of violence against the elderly in Flanders

In Flanders, an average of thirty reports of elder abuse are registered every week. Striking: psychological abuse is the most common form of violence against the elderly at almost a third. This is evident from new figures from the Flemish Support Center for Elderly Abuse (VLOCO), the CAWs, helpline 1712, Tele-Reception and the health insurance funds.
