Gauff defeats keys in the US duel

Madison Keys – Coco Gauff 7: 6, 4: 6, 1: 6

Every player knows that tennis is also a mental game – whether you play on the side place in the home club or on the largest court at the French Open. And that the nerves can also thwart you and take care of a tremor, Coco Gauff clearly demonstrated against compatriot Madison Keys in the purely American quarter-finals on Wednesday. In the exciting, but honestly not always high -class first set, we went to the tie -break, in which Gauff then fabricated three (!) Double errors. Keys used this and secured the first round.

The good, and every tennis player knows that, but it is: something like that can change from nowhere. This was also proven by Gauff, who performed much more concentrated from the second set, had her nerves under control and then only narrowly won the second round (6: 4) and finally the third round (6: 1). The still 21-year-old is in the semi-finals of the tournament.
