French authorities warn of false fundraising campaigns “for family of missing Émile” | Abroad

Money is collected for Emile’s family on various online fundraising platforms. According to the French newspaper BFM TV, the prosecutor himself asked the family if they were aware of these actions, after which they denied any involvement. So there is a good chance that these are scammers who collect the money for their own gain.

Little Émile, a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler, disappeared from his grandparents’ garden last Saturday. Since then, people have been searching for him with all their might. Last night, the large-scale search of the site was halted, and the investigation entered “a new phase”. The criminal route is also not excluded.
