“I still enjoy the fact that I can be on stage every day,” De Jonge said to presenter Frits Spits. “That I will soon be working on a book again. And that I will then return to the stage. I don’t see an end to that yet.”
The comedian still has inspiration, he said. “You get older, all kinds of things happen in your body. Many people around you disappear. These are so many new emotions that you can express on stage.” De Jonge says that he “has been given the gift of making people laugh when I perform. I am incredibly blessed with that.”
The comedian was unable to make a conference at the previous parliamentary elections due to illness. He also admitted at the end of 2024 that he sometimes forgets a joke on stage, but that he is at peace with that. De Jonge will perform with his performance De Stemming 7 until October 29.
