Lucrezia, sister of the 19 -year -old skier who died in Val Senales last October: “The time has come to stop. You can’t leave to go skiing and never go home”

Losing a son or sister for a fall with skis is a tragedy, doing it when you think the risks are lower because they are professionals, for which you think there must be greater protections even on the training slopes, taking into account the speed and risks they run to reach it, adds anger to the pain. This is what Matteo Franzoso’s death via Social Lucrezia Lorenzi, sister of Matilde, died just under a year ago, on 28 October during a workout in Val Senales. The girl, who would have turned 20 a month later, had lost control of a ski, violently beating her head against the frozen surface of the Grow G1. His condition had seemed very serious: helicopted to the San Maurizio hospital in Bolzano, the doctors had treated her and hospitalized it, but unfortunately there had been nothing to do.
