Frankie Valli has canceled all remaining concerts for 2026, citing unspecified health problems as the reason. In an Instagram post on Friday, the singer confirmed that Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will not be touring for the rest of the year.
“I am very sorry to disappoint the people who bought tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” Valli wrote. “I look forward to getting well again and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your well wishes.”
Valli’s manager Victoria Varela told Variety that the team made a conscious decision to cancel rather than postpone so as not to leave fans guessing. “The promoters want to drag things out and not give people their money back, but he can’t keep rescheduling the shows,” she explained. “He has realized that he needs a break and needs to get his health in order – and that is the real problem: He wants to get healthy without constantly rebooking to prolong the pain of those who bought these tickets.”
Break until at least 2027
She confirmed that he would use the next six months to recover and would consider returning to the stage in 2027. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons had previously postponed several tour dates originally planned for April to the summer. These have now been canceled along with other dates between summer and November. Valli’s final performance took place on February 22nd at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.
In 2024, a video of Valli’s performance went viral because the then 90-year-old musician appeared completely absent. “Whoever sends Frankie Valli on stage in this condition is guilty of abusing an elderly person,” one user wrote on social media when the clip made the rounds. However, Valli defended his decision to continue touring.
“I have to smile at the comments wondering if someone is forcing me to go on stage. Nobody has ever made me do something I didn’t want to do,” Valli said in a statement. “I know there’s been a lot going around about me on the internet lately, so I wanted to clear things up. I’m blessed to be 90 years old and still able to do what I love – and as long as I’m able and audiences want to see me, I’ll be out there performing like ever. I absolutely love what I do. And I know we’re putting on a great show because our fans still come out in droves and the show still rocks.”
Like the rabbit on TV
He added: “I plan on playing shows for as long as I can and bringing that great Four Seasons sound. Like that line in ‘Jersey Boys’: I’m like that bunny on TV, going on and on and on. Always chasing the music.”
