Frankfurt shares end: Dax weak – Siemens Energy slump weighs on

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – High price losses in Siemens Energy shares and, as a result, also in Siemens shares (Siemens) put the Dax (DAX 40) under pressure on Thursday. The interest rate decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) curbed the losses somewhat in the early afternoon. As expected, the monetary authorities have left key interest rates unchanged after ten interest rate increases since June 2022.

The German leading index approached Monday’s low of 14,630 points, which was the lowest price since mid-March, but recovered somewhat in the afternoon. Ultimately there was a minus of 1.08 percent at 14,731.05 points. The MDAX of medium-sized companies lost 0.94 percent to 23,796.75 points./edh/he
