Eintracht Frankfurt wants to step up their game in the winter transfer window. According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the SGE has targeted Elversberg high-flyer Younes Ebnoutalib (22).

Several Bundesliga clubs have the top scorer, who has already scored ten times in 13 second division games this season, on their list. Eintracht is at the top and has been following the development of the Frankfurt native for a long time. The focus will also remain on William Osula (22), who was supposed to come in the summer and will now be an issue again during the changeover period in January.
Elversberg has now reached an asking price of 8 million euros for Ebnoutalib. Around a month ago, the striker was initially valued at 1.5 million euros in the market value update in October – a cautious valuation at the time, which should increase significantly in the next update on December 19th if the good development continues. For the winter, Eintracht Frankfurt is planning to leave strikers Elye Wahi (22), for whom the SGE paid 26 million euros at the beginning of the year, and Michy Batshuayi (32). Ebnoutalib went through a “very tough school”
Ebnoutalib’s ten goals in the second division for Saarland are more than a third of all SVE goals. Only four professionals in the lower house recorded a greater share of goals for their team. The Elversbergers brought the player from FC Gießen in January of this year for just 100,000 euros. It was hard to predict how much of an impact Ebnoutalib would have in the 2nd Bundesliga a little later. In the current season he has scored two goals in one game and a hat-trick three times. After a brief lull of three games, Ebnoutalib scored for the tenth time last weekend in a 3-2 win in Karlsruhe.
“He came here very modestly and down-to-earth,” SVE sports boss Nils-Ole Book was quoted as saying about Ebnoutalib by “Kicker” in October. “Sure, up to that point in his career he hadn’t had the big clubs, nor the glorious stations, and his Italy project didn’t go well either, that was a really tough school for him.” Ebnoutalib, who had previously played in Rot-Weiss Frankfurt’s youth ranks, moved to AC Perugia in 2022. He was unable to make it among the professionals there and initially moved to the regional league in Giessen. He could soon find himself in the Bundesliga.
