Foxes Berlin wrestle SC Magdeburg down in the top game

The Füchse Berlin keep up with defending champion and leader THW Kiel in the handball Bundesliga.

The capital city celebrated the third victory with runner-up and Champions League winner SC Magdeburg with 31:26 (14:12) in the third game and thus drew level with Kiel. However, the champions can restore their previous two-point lead on Thursday (8:30 p.m./Dyn) with a win in the north derby at SG Flensburg-Handewitt.

Magdeburg fell back to fifth place (4:2 points) due to their first defeat of the season. In Berlin, the foxes and the SCM fought a duel at eye level for a long time in the first round with several leadership changes. After the change of sides, however, the hosts pulled away more and more and kept Magdeburg at a distance.

Berlin’s most accurate shots were right winger Hans Lindberg and left winger Jerry Tollbring, each with eight goals, while Lasse Andersson also scored six goals for the capital city. Michael Damgaard was the most successful player in Magdeburg’s team with four goals.
