The fire brigade has been pulled out four times for natural fires on Wednesday afternoon and evening. They were Waalre, Zeeland, Budel and on the Oirschotse Heide. With all four fires, the fire brigade pulled out en masse, but the damage was not really great anywhere.

The biggest fire broke around a quarter to four on the Oirschotse Heide on Wednesday afternoon. A piece of about thirty by forty meters heathland between the military training grounds and the A58 motorway has been lost.

The fire brigade pulled out with four fire trucks and four water cars to get the fire under control as quickly as possible. A police helicopter also flew over the fire to the hotspots card so that the fire brigade could extinguish it extra.

The traffic on the A58 was not bothered by the nature fire, the wind blew off the smoke from the highway. The Eindhovensedijk was closed for some time. Around a quarter past five the fire was master

Moments later it was hit on the Bergbosweg in Budel. There, a natural fire raged in a forest area near the border with Belgium. The fire brigade of the Zuiderburen was also warned, but thanks to the deployment of three extinguishing cars and some water cars, the Brabant firefighters quickly had the fire under control.

Around seven o’clock a fire broke out in a small forest area on the Scherpenberg in the village of Zeeland. There was a piece of forest on fire of about twenty by twenty meters, but the fire was under control fairly quickly. The fire brigade was pulled out with three fire -fighting vehicles to extinguish the fire. The smoke could be seen in the wider circumference.

The last nature fire was perhaps the smallest of the four this Wednesday afternoon and evening. A piece of forest was on fire on Heikantstraat in Waalre.

Here too, the fire brigade immediately scaled up around eight o’clock to prevent the fire from grabbing quickly. The fire brigade pulled out with seven vehicles and therefore the damage to nature was limited.
