The Public Prosecution Service (OM) demanded four months in prison on Thursday morning against 21-year-old suspect Hicham El H., because of his involvement in the riots on square ’40 -45 in Amsterdam. That reportt Het Parool. In November, riots broke out on the Amsterdam square in the Nieuw-West district. The riots followed the unrest after the Ajax – Maccabi Tel Aviv football match earlier that week.
Suspect Hicham El M. is said to have mistreated a motorcycle agent and a passer -by on 11 November and threw stones at a stationary bus with passengers. A video showing that he gives a motorcycle agent from behind a slap on his head went around on social media after the riots. These images were shown in the session.
El H. was recognized in the images by several agents and care providers. According to the judiciary, data from his telephone also showed that he was present on the square at the time. He himself denies being present at the riots.
The suspect is stated in the so -called Top 600, the Amsterdam municipal approach for young multiple offenders of serious crimes who must ensure that they do not repeat. According to the judge, his criminal record covers at least twenty pages, mostly for violent crimes, writes Het Parool. El H. is currently stuck for another case.
Justice took the El H. extra harm that he did not give openness during the investigation and partly because of that demanded four months in prison. “A sturdy signal is appropriate,” said the OM.
On Thursday afternoon, two other suspects of the riots are on trial. The court will rule in two weeks.
