The incident happened on Thursday evening near the library in Ostend. The victim, a 34-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. The same evening, the police were able to arrest a suspect, a 44-year-old man.
The public prosecutor’s office ordered an investigation for attempted manslaughter and after interrogation the man was arrested on Friday.
