Jochen Mass joined the premier class of motorsport in 1973, where he was sitting in the Renner for the Surtees team. He celebrated his debut in Silverstone at the Great Britain’s Grand Prix. Towards the end of the following season, he switched to McLaren, where he established himself as a regular pilot in the next few years.
